How long have you been in business?
We opened for business on June 1, 1988. We added the Self storage facility next to us in September 2007. We added 20 additional RV super sites in May of 2009.
What is your primary product or service?
We have 117 self store units ranging in size from 5'x5' to 10'x20'. We rent on a monthly bases and give discounts if you pay in advance for 6 or 12 months. All units have roll up doors giving you full access to your area.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
People in RV's don't have much room, so I thought having a self storage facility next to the RV park would be a good match. Many of my tenants had self storage units elsewhere and had to drive to them if they wanted to get to their stuff. Plus it would be convient for people that live near the RV park.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Friendly, family run operation that tries to accommodate the needs of our customers.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Only one location with no more room to expand.

Bakersfield Palms RV Park and Self Storage is easy to get to from either California Highways 99, 58 or Interstate 5. From Hwy 99 ( North or South ): take Hwy 58 East for 6 miles exiting on Fairfax Rd. Then left (North) 1/2 mile. If Southbound on Interstate 5: take Hwy 46 East to Hwy 99 South ( then see "From Hwy 99" above ) If Northbound on Interstate 5: take Hwy 99 North ( then see "From Hwy 99" above ) From Mojave ( Hwy 58 East ): take Hwy 58 West for 54 miles exiting on Fairfax Rd, which is 6 miles from Hwy 99. Then right (North) 1/2 mile.

Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
We are family owned with a full time staff to run the day to day business.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open every day from 8 am to 7 pm except holidays. Holiday schedule is as follows: Thanksgiving Day from 8 am to Noon. December 24th from 8 am to 3 pm and on January 1st from 10 am to 1 pm. We are closed on December 25th.
